RUGBY 2010 | S.THOMAS' COLLEGE v St.JOSEPHS COLLEGE
After a week's break, the STC rugby team were back on the field, this time for the traditional match against St.Josephs College which was a non-league match this year but played for the Lady Jayatilake Trophy
The Thomians finished 5th in the Division 1A league while the St.Josephs College emerged as the Champion of the Division 1B league. Both teams battled it out and gave their best on the grounds.
The Thomians were leading the scoreboard at all times and at Half Time, the scoreboard read 13-10 in favours of STC.
The Josephians scored their points with only 5 tries while the Thomians accumulated their points with 3 goals, 2 tries and 1 penalty.
The try scorers for STC were Jeremy Fernando, Shaveen Kapuwatte, Anuruddha Willwera and Suddharshana Muttutantri.
The Thomians will play in the Milo Premier Knockout Trophy this week with the first match against Isipathana College and are determined to retain the trophy they won last year.
