The Battle of the Blues which is popularly know as the Royal Thomian is the annual cricket match encounter that is played between Royal College, Colombo and S.Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia for the past 130 years continuously without being interrupted. The Royal Thomian also hold the record for being the longest uninterupted cricket match series in the world. The match is played for the D.S.Senanayake Memorial Shield which was first presented in 1928.
